Benelli to launch 8 more Models in India by end 2016
Snapshot: get ready for more Benelli awesomeness in India soon!!
Benelli has started off pretty well in India, backed by some efficient marketing DSK-Benelli has pulled of a rather lovely sales figures in a short time. No wonder, these stunning Italian steeds have arrived with aggressive pricing and it has worked well for the company to establish the brand. Moving further the company is said to be planning to introduce as much as 8 more new models in the Indian market by 2016 end.
The first one to arrive will be the Benelli's adventure tourer offering, the 1130 TREK Amazonas. The TREK benefits from the mad engine from its sibling TNT 1130 although the 125bhp and 114Nm engine has been re-tuned for a more sedate experience unlike the sheer lunacy of the TNT 1130's mill. The Adventure tourer comes with selectable riding modes, and a 21.5-liter fuel tank makes sure that it is a long range missile. The headlight design is reminiscent of the TNT 1130 and the overall design makes the TREK look nothing like anything else in the market, Benelli, for sure knows how to make stunning piece of machinery. Based out of the TNT 1130, the TREK Amazonas promises to be as nimble as the TNT which would mean some serious fun on long tours. Expect it to be the flagship of the brand when it arrives.
On the other end of the spectrum, the TNT25 will come in to become the least expensive Benelli on sale. With its single cylinder, 24.5bhp heart the TNT25 is lighter than the TNT300 by 25kg's, and just like its elder sibling, it comes with a trellis frame. Furthermore, this baby Benelli will come with stuff like a monoshock, an engine cowl and disc brakes at both ends. Expected to arrive and fight the tough fight with the established Duke, Benelli will have to make sure that they get the pricing right.
The Blackster cruiser is also coming, though it belongs to Benelli's Chinese sister firm Keeway DSK is keen on bringing it to India, however, Benelli is yet to decide if they will include this under Benelli line up for India or not. Powered by a 249cc fuel injected V-twin that develops 17.3bhp of power and 18Nm of torque with a 5 speed transmission.
While the above three motorcycles in all probability will be launched this year itself, a total of five more bikes are also arriving in 2016. Among the five, there will be a faired version of the TNT300. The Bike will be mechanically similar to the naked. Interestingly, the TNT300 will also serve as a platform for a semi-faired tourer model designed for long ride fans in the country. There are reports stating that Benelli is also developing a 500cc twin-cylinder adventure bike which is a brand new platform and could be introduced at a tempting price point. To top it all another 750cc twin cylinder platform in under development which will be offered in both naked and fully faired formats. These new products could be unveiled at EICMA this December, Europe’s biggest motorcycle show.
