Ducati releases a teaser for its upcoming Scrambler

Snapshot: The Italian manufacturer plans to unveil its latest offering before the end of this year and make it available to the European market from early 2015

After months of rumours and speculations, Ducati has finally confirmed the existence of its Scrambler. Ducati has had its stint with scramblers long ago when it rolled out its first single cylinder Scrambler 250 in 1962, but eventually 1976 brought with it the end of this era of Ducati.

According to the press release, the Scrambler will feature the latest of Ducati technology. Ducati has been very tight lipped about the specifications or any other details of the Scrambler, but it did say that it will be unveiled this November at EICMA. This Monday, Ducati held a private viewing of its latest prototype for its Bologna factory employees.

Speaking of the new motorcycle, Ducati said, "Non-conformist, accessible and essential, the new Ducati Scrambler is said to represent the perfect combination of the traditional and contemporary, while returning to the pure essence of motorcycling – two wheels, wide handlebars, a simple engine and a lot of fun.”
