EICMA 2015 – First Look Benelli Tornado 302
Snapshot: The production version of the same is expected to be showcased at the upcoming AutoExpo 2016, and the bike will make way to Indian market by mid next year.
We have come across some very interesting motorcycles at the EICMA 2015 so far and talking about interesting stuff, the legendary Italian brand has just unveiled Tornado 302 for the very first time. Though it’s said to be built around the same platform as the TNT 300, but a whole new chassis shines through the new alluring full fairing the bike is wrapped in.
From tip to toe, Tornado 302 is a pretty looking machine. Be it the twin extended headlamps or the new red chassis gelling gorgeously with the over-all design of the bike. It is expected to house the 300cc in-line twin cylinder 4-valve DOHC engine from the TNT 300, mated to 6-speed transmission. The engine churns out near 36bhp of max power and 27Nm of peak torque. Well that’s a decent power figure for a bike that should weigh around 180-190kgs (the TNT 300 weighs around 196kgs incase you were wondering).
It is built around Benelli’s trademark trestle frame featuring 41mm upside down front forks and mono shock (adjustable preload) on the rear swing arm at the back.
The production version of the same is expected to be showcased at the upcoming AutoExpo 2016, and the bike will make way to the Indian market by mid next year. This is Benelli’s answer to Ninja 300, RC390 and Yamaha R3. Stay tuned to Bikeportal for more updates and make sure to leave your valuable comments below.
