Gorgeous little Benelli Tornado 302 is coming to India in June 2016!
Snapshot: The utterly gorgeous 300cc fully faired Benelli Tornado 302 will be launched in India around June 2016!!
DSK-Benelli pulled off an incredible coup of sorts at EICMA 2015 by bringing an highly unexpected and a brilliantly thought after range of products, showcasing how fabulously the brand has planned its resurgence in the global market. We were mighty impressed by what DSK-Benelli had for preview at the show, and can safely say, if everything stays on path, Benelli might just become the brand force to reckon with in the coming years. Now that it has been said that the brilliantly positioned TRK 502 will be arriving in Indian market by September 2016, we have got another beautiful news about the arrival of probably the most beautiful quarter liter fully faired bike in the market, the Tornado 302.
It is being said that the Benelli Tornado 302 will be launched here in June 2016, and once again the news is coming out from the interview of Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels by our friends at BikeAdvice. As per Shirish, the beautiful 300cc motorcycle will be offered with ABS either as a standard feature or on a second variant and should be launched in India around June 2016.
Powered by the same engine from the aural masterpiece that Benelli TNT 300 is, the Tornado 302 is only the second fully faired motorcycle other than the iconic Tornado 1130 in Benelli’s history. And exactly as the bike it is based on, the Tornado features a good size, (something that we appreciate in this day and age of shrinking in size on motorcycles) with a dimensions of 2,157mm, 746 mm and 1,146 mm for length, width and height respectively. Add to it a wheelbase of 1,410 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm and you get a bike that has a proper size and should translate into a pretty decent supersport in quarter liter segment. Something, that is accentuated by a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres and an engine oil reservoir capacity of 4 litres.
The inline twin from the TNT 300 is a 300 cc liquid-cooled engine featuring 4-valves and DOHC, however, here the engine will produce more power output and it stands at 35.35Ps of power at 12,000rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. Other carried forward listing from the TNT300 are steel trestle frame, the 41 mm inverted telescopic fork with 120 mm travel, the monoshock with 45 mm travel, the 260 mm dual-disc brake at the front with a 4-piston calliper, the single-disc brake at the rear with a mono-piston floating calliper and the Metzeler tyres of sizes 110/70-ZR17 and 150/60-ZR17.
