Hero Karizma gets Cafe Racer treatment by MGC and is called Silver
Snapshot: Behold the Stunning Cafe Racer Concept - 'Silver' by the awesome guys at MGC......
MGC or the Mean Green Customs, the Mumbai based Custom house decided to do something radical with the mighty capable Hero Karizma. The idea was to arrive with a clean, retro yet built with modern finesse design, what started off as a thought for the designers, and went on from being a sketch to this beautiful and stunning piece of flawless craftsmanship. What immediately grabs attention is the futuristic design accentuated with sharp lines and unique front suspension, good old girder fork setup and component detail on the motorcycle.
The design excels in the detailing part where these smaller touches are the most noteworthy like the leather wrapped handlebar grips and footpegs as well as bar-end mirrors for the authentic cafe racer feel. MGC has cleverly integrated the turn indicators on the bar-end mirrors and footpegs that add to the clean visual appeal. The fuel tank also gets the brown leather stripe that cuts across the silver paint job on the cafe racer. Completing the clean design approach is the exhaust muffler finished in matte black with a silver machine finished tip.
Powered by the stock 223cc Karizma engine, which makes peak power of 17.2 PS and has a top speed of about 130kmph. however, it is a rare occurrence where the engine in a custom built is overshadowed by the sheer futuristic appeal of a rather iconic old design ideology. Silver is good enough to achieve a top speed of 130 km/hr and the 0-100 km/hr sprint should come in around the 13.8 seconds mark. No doubt the Sliver cafe racer comes out as a interestingly fresh custom design that will make a lot of heads turn around. If you plan to get a similar design theme for your bike, Mean Green Designs will be charging you a good Rs. 2.5-3 lakhs, while the company’s other modification jobs start from Rs. 1.5 lakh onwards.
