Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India introduced its mini crossover, the Navi, at the recently held Auto Expo 2016. This mini-bike is a crossover between a motorcycle and a scooter. With days after its launch, the Navi managed to attract a lot of eyeballs as it has a sticker price of just Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It was reported to you earlier that the Honda managed to achieve 10,000 sales mark for Navi. Now, in order to meet the high demand for the mini-bike, the Company has doubled the production.
Honda Navi is the first product that has been designed and developed at Honda's R&D facility in the country. With a crossover theme, the Navi focuses on the youngsters and commuters who are looking for a ride that can be used on a daily basis and should be light on pockets too.
It shares the same motor as Honda's Activa which is a 101.19cc, SI, four stroke, HET engine that is capable of producing a maximum power if 7.8 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.9Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It is mated to a V-Matic transmission. It also received a 3.8 litre of fuel tank and has a company claimed mileage of 60 kmpl. Currently, Honda sells Navi across 10 cities across the nation and plans to expand this reach by the end of 2016.
