Snapshot: CB500F sits in a very sweet spot and if launched in India, could prove to be a master stroke for Honda against rivals like KTM and Kawasaki.
The Japanese automaker has teased the 2016 CB500F, prior to its official debut at the upcoming EICMA in Milan, Italy. Though the teased image doesn’t reveal much about the 2016 model but enough for us to make out that it will carry quite a few visible changes. Honda has made these changes so as to keep up with the motorcycle updated against its major rivals like the Suzuki SFV650, Yamaha FZ-07, Benelli TNT 600i and the Kawasaki ER-6n.
The new CB500F can come up with few of the technical updates like new transmission, preload adjustability for the forks and LED headlamps and tail lamps. Like the current model it will run on a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed transmission. Though it is not known if the engine is tuned to boost the performance figures or not, the power mill produces 47bhp of power. CB500F sits in a very sweet spot and if launched in India, could prove to be a master stroke for Honda against rivals like KTM and Kawasaki.
