Marquez wins an epic battle at Catalunya

Everyone expected the race to be a spectacle and it was nothing less than that. With Marc Marquez failing to get the pole position in the qualifying and slipping to third spot, it was not going to be just any other race and with Rossi's prowess it became one hell of a show at Barcelona.
It was a race that was led by Rossi for most of the time and was being led by the Honda duo of Dani Pedrosa and Marquez in the final moments of the race. Lorenzo was never far from the trio, but never posed any threat to any of the top three riders.
Due to a confusion that arose somewhere during the middle of the race because of a yellow flag causing the leading group to get closer to each other. The last few laps saw Pedrosa and Marquez getting very close to each other, but Pedrosa's judgment got a little wrong when he touched Marquez's rear wheel in the last lap. Rossi took advantage of it and overtook Pedrosa with one corner remaining to claim a well deserved second spot.
With this win, Marquez has held his perfect record this season. He now has a total of 175 points from 7 races and is 58 points ahead of the second racer in the standings that is Valentino Rossi at 117.
"I think that it’s my best race of the season. I enjoyed it a lot. I am very satisfied. I made a good lap in qualifying despite not feeling confident. We modified the bike with the team and I had a lot more front feeling, I was stronger and faster. I felt good coming into the race despite my little slide," said Rossi after the race.
