MotoGP - Dani Pedrosa will Miss Jerez Race, Might Return for Le Mans
Snapshot: The Spanish Rider might return for Le Mans race on 17th May....
Luck mostly has been hard on Dani Pedrosa over the years in the MotoGP, with him either crashing out himself or being a victim of someone else's fault while chasing a championship. He has also suffered a lot of injuries that for a less will powered person would have meant an end to a career in motorcycle racing, Dani Pedrosa is one racer who has always deserved to win MotoGP championship, but is yet to wrap his hands around one.
His hard luck continued when Dani declared that his arm pump injury was more severe than previously thought of and it would need a ground breaking surgery to make sure his return to the premier class racing. The surgery meant that Dani would definitely miss the two races at Austin and Argentina and the one at Jerez would depend on his recovery status.
Now news is coming in that sadly Dani will have to sit out for the Jerez race too and he is expected to return for racing at Le Mans on 17th May. In the operation, performed on the 3rd April, doctors completely removed the layer of fascia – the casing around the muscle that gives it form and shape – which was causing problems for Dani.
Dani Said regarding the news, “I really hoped to return in Jerez, but after riding a supermotard bike yesterday, we decided it’s not the best option. By competing in an entire race weekend we risk damaging the arm further and slowing down the healing process and the last thing I want to do is create a bigger problem. I’m missing my team and can’t wait to come back in Le Mans. Thank you all for all your kind messages, they give me strength in these tough times.”
