Pulsar SS200 reaches dealerships. But why?

The testing for the fully faired version of the NS200 started last year and since then the spy pictures have been flooding the internet. According to the latest speculations and spy pictures, it seems that the new Pulsar SS200 has reached the dealerships across India. But the pictures also tell us that these models have no logo or graphics on it, which strongly hints on the fact that this is not a production model that Bajaj plans to make available to its customers sometime soon. But these units, however, can easily be the test vehicles the dealerships must be given for the feedback. The design is very similar to SS400's that was showcased in Auto Expo this year in February. Not much has been said by Bajaj Auto about the specifications, but the possibility of a fuel injection resulting in a little more power than the Pulsar NS200 can't be ruled out. Also an optional ABS version is a strong possibility.
The present version of Pulsar NS200 has a 199.5 cc engine that churns out 23.52 bhp of power and 18.3 Nm of torque. Expect the new variant to be a little more powerful and efficient and a lot more aggressive and stylish. Just like the specifications, Bajaj is tight-lipped about the price too, but we expect this Super Sport variant to cost Rs 20,000-30,000 more than its nude brother.
