TVS teases the new Apache RTR 200 4V on the official Indian website
Snapshot: The teaser goes on saying “reach to the racing gloves”, the bike as we know follows the racing philosophy on which previous generation Apaches were made.
The Hosur based motorcycle maker is planning to launch it’s highly awaited 200cc Apache in next 2 days and prior to the launch TVS has officially teased their bike on the Indian website. TVS has always associated the RTR brand with their racing ideology and the new 200 is no exception to it. The teaser goes on saying “reach to the racing gloves”, the bike as we know it crosses the 60kmph mark in about 3.9 seconds which is quite fast.
Its looks are derived from the Draken concept seen previously at the 2014 AutoExpo and apart from showing all the necessary details it’s instrumental cluster also comes with a lap timer (stop watch) to record your fastest timings. The Apache RTR 200 4V is ready to compete with its competition like the KTM 200 Duke and Bajaj Pulsar 200NS which are the only naked street fighters present in this 200cc category in India.
Though the Hosur based motorcycle manufacturing firm has tried to keep the things undercover but according to the specification sheet images leaked on internet, the bike churns out around 20.23bhp of power and 18Nm of torque. These figures are significantly less than the 200 Duke ones and also less than the Pulsar 200NS. Full details will be out very soon when the bike is officially launched in next two days. Stay tuned to Bikeportal as we bring you latest updates on the same. And we would like to hear what you think about the machine in the comment section below.
We expect the bike to be launched in the price bracket of INR 1.10 lakh to 1.20 lakh.
