Snapshot: Officially Yamaha has denied the existence of MT-07 Tracer till date but the motorcycle is assumed to be launched by 2016 start
Yamaha’s another installment to the touring motorcycles MT-07 tracer has been spotted yet again and this time with a pillion rider. Though the front adjustable wind screen of MT-07 tracer was nowhere to be founded but motorcycle is easily distinguishable by MT’s unique styling and frame. Officially Yamaha has denied the existence of MT-07 Tracer till date but the motorcycle is assumed to be launched by 2016 start. The MT-07 Tracer is based on the same engine as MT-07 and runs on a 689cc parallel-twin engine that churns out near 73.8bhp or power and 68Nm of torque.
The touring version of MT-07 is fitted with couple of touring specific modifications like raised handle-bars, forwarded foot-pegs, grab-rail for the pillion and elongated single seat for extended comfort on long rides. MT-07 Tracer is a smaller model of MT-09 Tracer which is the big daddy of Yamaha’s Tracer motorcycles. The MT-09 runs on an 850cc 3-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve engine that produces near 114bhp of power. The MT-09 is equipped with a bunch of electronics like Tracer-specific D-MODE selectable running modes, Y-CCT (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle), Switchable Traction Control System (TCS) and whole lot of stuff that can talked about. The MT-07 Tracer is expected to hit the international motorcycle market by the next year’s starting. Yamaha’s latest touring motorcycle will have to fight against a bunch of motorcycles like Benelli TNT 600GT, Kawasaki Versys 650, Honda NC700X and the Suzuki V-Strom 650.
