Yamaha recalls 902 units of YZF-R3 in India
Snapshot: The recalled motorcycles will be repaired for free under Yamaha’s factory modification campaign at Yamaha authorized service centers across the country.
It’s been not more than 2 weeks since Yamaha announced YZF-R3 recall in Japan and the company has now recalled 902 units of YZF-R3 in India as well. According to Yamaha, the affected models were manufactured between 19th March, 2016 and 19th May, 2016. According to the reports, problems pertaining in bike’s clutch pressure plate assembly and oil pump assembly is the main reason for its recall.
The recalled motorcycles will be repaired for free under Yamaha’s factory modification campaign at Yamaha authorized service centers across the country. Till date there has not been any safety issue recoded relating to the aforementioned problems but it is noteworthy that Yamaha took no time in announcing the recall in India after Japan. The company recalled more than 15,000 small capacity motorcycles in Japan which were affected by similar issues.
