Mahindra Mojo Overview
Mahindra has recently launched the all-new Mojo UT300 into the Indian auto markets. While the new-generation UT300 retains the styling features of the standard Mahindra Mojo (now referred to as the XT300), the UT range of bikes loses out significantly in terms of the overall equipment towards making it more affordable. The latest UT300 by Mahindra Mojo is expected to be selling alongside the XT300 with additional benefits of the ongoing sale.
Mahindra Mojo Engine & Transmission
The UT300 by Mahindra Mojo is powered by the 292cc liquid cooled, 1-cylinder engine. However, this time, the bike makes use of the carburetor rather than the fuel injector. This implies that there might a small dip in the overall riding performance of the bike. The UT300 is capable of generating around 22.7 BHP of power 7500 rpm along with 25.2 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The engine of the bike has been mated to a 6-speed transmission gearbox.
Mahindra Mojo Braking & Safety
The latest Mojo UT300 receives 320mm petal front disc brake along with the 240mm braking unit at the rear end. There is also the presence of a 17-inch tubeless tyre from MRF reducing the overall weight of the bike significantly. The fork unit gets the telescopic forks rather than the USD setup.
Mahindra Mojo Competitors
With the affordable price tag, the Mahindra Mojo is expected to compete against the Honda CBR250R and the KTM Duke 200 in the given segment.
Mahindra Mojo Mileage
The 295.0 cc bike is expected to be delivering an average mileage of around 25 kmpl. The Mahindra Mojo UT (Universal Tourer) 300 shares the design features with the XT300 by saving on a few features which are found absent in the latest UT300 bike model. The bike is expected to be lighter as Mahindra has switched from the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres to the MRF tyres on the Mojo bike series. Given its lack of the major features in the XT300 series, the Mahindra Mojo UT300 bike is expected to be immensely cost-effective. The Mahindra Mojo is available in three colour options including Charcoal Black, Volcano red, and Glacier White.
Mahindra Mojo Performance and Handling
With the lack of several major features as present in the standard XT300, the Mahindra Mojo UT300 might lag on some high-end performance capabilities. Even after some performance drawbacks, the overall bike is way too comfortable for any type of ride. With the availability of the plush seats and wide handlebars, the riders can expect better handling of the bike. Mahindra has ensured the Mojo UT300 to be a perfect touring machine –doing absolutely fine on any type of street.
Mahindra Mojo What we think
Priced immensely reasonable and with the ongoing sale, the Mahindra Mojo UT300 is a great option to bring home in the given touring segment of bikes.
