The Chennai-based automaker became the first in the country to launch an affordable adventure motorcycle. The Himalayan is unlike any other bike present from Royal Enfield, it has been developed around a unique platform sharing almost nothing from earlier products from Royal Enfield. The Himalayan derives its power from the LS410 engine which is a 411cc, single-cylinder, Long-Stroke engine that produces 25bhp of maximum power and 32nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. Its LS410 is brand new engine by Royal Enfield that has been designed to produce stronger torque pull starting from the low revs. The engine designed with an internal counterbalancer that makes sure that fewer vibrations are produced for longer, smoother rides.
